And to think, I was already excited about OUr incoming DB's when we had Hagan, Howell, Christian and Mayne Williams. Now we get a second Williams!

Unbelievable signing day surprise.

As long as the Hagan commit holds, and judging by his twitter, it will, our DBs unit is going to be filthy.

EDIT: Didn't know they were teammates.

This would be a big time get, but I doubt we'll ever see him on the field. Come on guys, there's got to be some academic issue. Blast me if you think I'm wrong.

Can't say this thought didn't cross my mind. However, if true, it is risk Ohio has to take. Worse case, he doesn't make test scores and it opens up scholarship for our walk-on program. Best case, we have a complete STUD in the defensive backfield.

A few posters on a UGA board think there was a grades issue. I agree, this is a chance Ohio has to take.

It's possible that there are academic issues, however sometimes they work themselves out. A recent example of that was Jon Lechner.

Why not take the chance...Marshall is glad they took a chance with Randy Moss. And it isn't completely crazy given that his defensive backfield HS teammate has been committed to Ohio since before their senior season. Had he had absolutely zero ties to our program it would smell more fishy but count me in the optimistic column that he'll work out just fine.

If there are grade issues, there is no downside to trying to make this happen. (There appear to be no discipline issues, so we are not talking Moss type individual). I'm sure Hagan vouched for him (and may have even reached out on his behalf). So in the least, we show Hagan we believe and trust in him.

These newspapers suggests there could be academic issues, but it seems they are just speculating also:

I love that Doc (Charlie Brown) Bobcat runs up to kick the (3-4 star stud who may have an issue qualifying) ball every February. :)

I do hope this kid qualifies and has a great student-athlete career at OHIO. One of these kids has to work out one year. No?
