We need wideouts bad, the last class will never see the the field, we have a 4,6 walk-in yup starting and Papi White a converted running back who will graduate. No more diamonds in the rough, we need some real talent at thAt position, go Cats

Nobody despises to lose more than I do. That's got me into trouble over the years, but it also made a man of mediocre ability into a pretty good coach. Woody Hayes

Think this was the same fan who shared Ohio would never post a winning record with Brad Ellis at CB.

I never said that, fake news. Somebody is still upset about Kaep discussion. The wideout position needs to be addressed, period. I did say that our pass defense would be in trouble if he was our best corner back and we finished in the last 25 in pass defense last year, it could have been worst if Kent had a QB available to play against us. Follow my post and get mad and take shots, just be accurate though.

"... the last class will never see the field,...," noted. Coach Solich has already announced Mr. Hooks will get game snaps. "... our pass defense would be in trouble with him (Mr. Ellis) as our best corner ...," Mr. Ellis only accounted for 19 PBU, ranking third nationally in passes defended, earning All MAC. Mr. Ellis was a real plus not the problem you anticipated. I like that the poster who just told us Mr. Coleman is no longer on the roster, not correct, is telling me to be more accurate. I will have to research you posts on Ellis. You were as down on Mr. Ellis as you are on the new WRs. I expect the WRs will prove you wrong, as did Mr. Ellis. Why do you worry over WRs when there is coach Dixon with youngsters like; Odum, Cherry, Davis, Harris, Minter, Cox, Hooks, Gouin and others?

Last year's class consisted of Walton, Hooks, Gouin, and Buckner, plus walkon Croy. I'll admit that I wasn't that impressed with them, either, yet Solich stated in his conference call that at least two of the Freshmen wide receivers will play this year, and not redshirt. Also, this year we will get a good idea how good the 2017 class was, as we will get our first looks at Cherry, Minter, and Cox.

For the record, I love Buckner, but he injured his knee. If Cherry and minter can’t beat out two guys who combined for 40 catches on the high school level, we need some guys.

If Arkley is even remotely accurate with his description of Hooks you are sure going to look dumb. He's repeatedly singled him out with praise throughout camp and again a moment ago "potential to be a game-changer".

Well allen, Ohio Football board, page 36, Topic Brad Ellis, you posted from 12/17/2016.

allen wrote. "If Brad Ellis a starting corner back next year, than we will have a losing season. Stop with this craziness. Every other play somebody was running past him. He may be able to play safety, but starting no. I know he may be a southern Ohio guy, but this is getting to be ridiculous. He held up well against Davis, he got a tip drill interception that 95% of you guys could have got. He does not get a start forever certificate. If he, Kylan Nelson or Jaylen Fox is starting, we are in big trouble. This is insane, stop it."

Seems my memory was pretty "accurate." You assessed playing Ellis as "craziness." and "insanity." Why deny it? Now we will see about your assessment that these last WR recruits will "never see the field."

It looks like your memory was correct. I thought that I would have been a lot more tactful. I was wrong about that and I hope that I am wrong about this. Hooks highlight tape looks like he will have a hard time getting separation from good MAC cornerbacks. Gouin was 19 and not excelling against his high school competition. We have some pretty good qb’s in the system so let’s get them some real weapons. Hooks didn’t appear on the two deep which is normal for a freshman, so we will see about him.
