I’ve been holding my breath about this for weeks, but it finally is official.!Isiah Cox is in the transfer portal. What a loss, he’s been really fun to watch. I wish him well wherever he lands.

For some reason I already assumed he was going to graduate and move on so I guess I'm not too sad/upset. Will need some others to step with this year big time.

I hope he find a good place, he did a lot at Ohio. He will definitely be hard to replace.
Nobody despises to lose more than I do. That's got me into trouble over the years, but it also made a man of mediocre ability into a pretty good coach. Woody Hayes

The WR position is really thin now. He was really the only playmaker left at WR. I don't blame him for leaving. I think he can catch on with a P5 team and contribute.
My question is why are all the WRs leaving? Hooks, Buckner and Cox were all contributors. I know Buckner less so, but he is not going to end up at a better program.

Maybe for a team with a QB?

Or at least to a team that isn't so run oriented. Of our 734 plays from scrimmage this past season, just about 60% (434) were running plays. Although a primary reason for that was Armani being a running QB, it's also because the coaching staff still has a run-first philosophy. And too often it's UTM instead of something that gets the wideouts involved. Even with Kurtis at the helm next season, don't expect the philosophy to change much.
We will get by. We will get by. We will get by. We will survive.

I agree with this take. In 2020, the offense chugged along in the three games with a run-oriented attack. Hooks transferred to an FCS team despite being a starter. WRs likely want to see some passes come their way. It is not going to happen with this coaching staff.
