1. Go pay for Deshawn Purdie, O'Mega Blake, and Dontae Balfour. It might cost a few dollars, but you can essentially use Charlotte's own money to go buy each of them.....relatively speaking - it won't be that expensive.

2. Use those area code 479/SEC connections and call Kirby Smart. Admittedly, I don't know what to offer him - but I would put some kind of incentive out there for Georgia to score 80 or 90 points on Charlotte next year. Completely embarass Albin like he just embarassed us. Just when you think the score is bordering on embarassing, run it up further. Really tar and feather Albin.

It's time to put the big boy pants on, and F*ck the guy who just dropped us like a bad habit. LFG.

We gonna take your coach? Fine. Get ready to take the shrapnel.

So you’d rather spend money on getting back at Albin instead of trying to improve Ohio’s team.
The most childish thing you’ve ever said, and that’s saying something. It’s so hard to take anything that you say seriously with stuff like this.

Their 3 best players, dummy. QB, WR, and DB. Hardly money wasted. It's a win/win. THINK.

Leaving the petulant trolling to the side, Julie Cromer recommended Chad Morris as the football coach at Arkansas. That was a fail of truly epic scale. Solich obviously made the excellent Albin hire happen, so I assume she had little to do with that hire. I'm a little nervous.

I don't want to act like I'm going all in on defending this hire. It looked bad to novice onlookers like us when it happened and it turned out about as awful as you could imagine. I also pointed out in another thread that she was no longer the AD when he was hired even though she was interim AD for most of the search process. Many Arkansas fans believe that this hire was the result of a huge amount of pressure from Jerry Jones. She still played the part she played in it.

We have to get this right. In this era we could go from 11-3 to 1-12. Ask Kent State what can happen.

She fired (under orders from the university president) the predecessor. She did not hire Chad Morris.

To say she had nothing to do with Albin's hiring is ridiculous. Solich made his recommendation but she talked with several ADs around the country, most of whom told her that given the timeline she had no choice but to hire Albin. That's why the contract was structured the way it was, with a two-year out for the university.

You sound a bit like someone who believes women should not be ADs.

I can't say I have any specific inside knowledge about the situation, but from everything I've read, a lot of the blame for Albin leaving falls on JC.

I have no problem with a woman AD but as I've posted before, I don't think JC was ever a good choice for O.U.

Nor, do I think she will ever be a Bobcat.

Losing Albin just reinforces my opinion.

If it does turn out that Albin's leaving was because of JC she should be out too.

I believe I wrote that she recommended Chad Morris, no? Not that she hired him. But you know, get angry, man!

Gender is not even part of this discussion. Leave it at the doorstep.

University of Arkansas Vice Chancellor for Athletics Hunter Yurachek:
“The future is tremendously bright at the University of Arkansas with the addition of Chad Morris. I am confident that Chad will bring an exciting brand of football, phenomenal student-athletes and championships to Fayetteville, and do it all with high integrity. We all owe a debt of gratitude to the incredible work of Julie Cromer Peoples in leading a comprehensive search and helping to bring a high caliber coach to Arkansas.”

Difference between me and you is I can keep the years (and decades) straight.

Hilarious that y'all think ADs are the ones recommending and making these hires. Most programs, including Ohio, are most likely using a search firm to vet candidates and they usually more often than not take the best one at the top of the list. Unless there is some other kind of alumni faction pushing for a former coach (aka what's happening at WVU right now) or a coup trying to get a coordinator hired (hello Auburn - twice), then the search firm pretty much does the work and then president/AD pull the trigger.

I've never lied on BA. I may have misspoken a few times, haven't we all (except you I guess), and when my error was pointed out I admitted it. My error with the Vernon Alden thing, that you will never let go of, is that I remembered something he had said when he was in office as OHIO president about Marshall, and then I incorrectly attributed that sentiment to actions of the Ohio administration a few years later in regard to Marshall and rejoining the MAC shortly after the plane crash.

Here's a letter to the editor that I wrote back in 16 Feb 1972, that I think might put the whole thing in a little better perspective for you. You can ignore my youthful idiocy about the ACC. The key stuff is in the first part of the article, which is in the lower left hand-corner of the page.
