Would be a backwards move. So they must’ve offered him a hell of a paycheck for him to leave after finally winning the MAC.

Give Albin more money and keep him here. Charlotte draws worse crowds than OU in a major city.

Seriously, their last coach was only making $1 million a year. Weird move.

If it’s true, best of luck to Tim, he’s earned it. Sorry to see him leave, but his team won the championship we’ve been chasing for 50+ years so he left us with that!

If these reports are true, this kinda leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Charlotte better have given him an absolute bag

Eddie George coaches at a FCS school that is in bad financial straits.

Just sayin'

I would think the recruiting culture is totally different there in Charlotte. He would be more suited to Oklahoma State or Texas Tech type of a program.

And was here 20 years to build up the program to the MACC level. The 8+ win we know and love wasn't quite that its first half decade or so, though with decent success. Potato Bowl win in 2011 was the turning point.

Hartline has had a lot of personal issues in Cbus, at least one was well publicized.

Didn’t thank Cromer or Gonzalez on the podium. Had 2 chances. Speaks volumes in many ways.

He thanked them in the post game on the field.

Now that you mention it, the ATV thing would fit in around here but the political thing would not.

Rather have Eddie George anyway.

Bring back Spence Nowinsky. Brian Hartline and Eddie George are never coming here.

Couple of other people I like are Brennan Marion (UNLV OC) and Travis Williams (Arkansas DC). Out of the box and long shot would be Coach O (burrow connection)

What is the amount of Albin's contract buyout, especially since he was extended through 2027.

Frank is still in town. I bet he would love a chance to coach them for one more game in the Bowl...

Who believes anything on Twitter? Or is that X? Tim, you can do a lot better than Charlotte. That is a lateral move. Wait for offer for the Big Ten and makes some real money.

Agree 100% with this. I believe the deal is done (And I'm praying the sick dog/let me off the bus story is true), but he's leaving a ton of money on the table. The MAC is so bad....one more big year and he could really cash in. Short sighted.

With the big win, I gotta believe Purdue would rather have Alban than that guy from Miami? Maybe the guy from Miami better start talking to Charlotte.

I agree that if Coach opted for UNCC I hope they are paying a boat load of money which I doubt they are. UNCC is a dumpster fire waiting to happen and the
AAC is not the conference in football it once may have been.

UNCC is in the AAC? I assumed they were in Conf USA. That's how much impression they make in the media, none.
