WR, don't know? But probably a tight end who head butted for 15 more yards after 10 for holding by a teammate causing a 1st and 35 in a then tight game.

He was probably in the portal by 10pm Saturday and out of Columbus before the end of the game so as to avoid personal injury.

Let him go play for someone else; avoid stupidity like that when searching for prospects to build the program.

Slightly disagree with you on this one. I believe he deserves a second chance. Would be a great comeback story and further build the pipeline. He wasn't committing a crime in the community. His in-game mistake is something that could be coached up on and a win-win for the student/OU program.

I agree with this observation. Bad mistake, but only career ending at O$U. We could rehab the guy and make use of his strength and talent.

In other news . . . Brett Gabbert to WMU. [Not actually news, but wild speculation on my part.]

Rehab what? He made a bone head decision! We’ve had many players over the years do stupid things creating a UNS. Remember last year the CMU game?

It will be very interesting to see who transfers in and out. Hope we don’t lose any starters or key backups.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with Bangura. Hopefully he stays. Which receivers are gone after this year? Wiglusz and Bostic? It's confusing with the COVID year.

We will be very lucky to keep Bangura-NIL will probably tempt him to go elsewhere. He could likely get some pretty good money if that’s of any interest to him

I think Wiglusz has the option for another year…..if he decides to take it.

Oh how a year can change things...remember Lew Nichols III? rushed for 1,848 yards in 2021, decided not to transfer, ended up with 616 rush yards and only played in 9 game this season.

Best of luck to Carson Steele, Sean Tyler and any other MAC RBs who decide to test out the portal out.

RB has to be one of the more risky positions to transfer for, IMO. A lot of production can be credited to the offensive line.

On to his third school in three years.

Looks like he got a lot of low FCS offers in high school. Went to Brown, where he played no snaps, before coming back to Ohio, where played no snaps. Probably back to the FCS where he will play no snaps.

I remember someone on here saying dude was better than Eichenberg at OSU LOL

I know there is a great fear all the G5 players will hit the exits for the P5 but using last year as a data point that doesn't seem like what is going on from the 2022 data from 24/7 sports. Texas had the 5th best transfer class and had 13 players move down a level.

Top 5 Transfer Classes P5
1. USC in (18 P5/ 1 G5) out (G5/FCS 9)
2. Ole Miss in (12 P5/ 3 G5) out (G5/FCS 9)
3. LSU in (11 P5/ 3 G5) out (G5/FCS 5)
4. Oklahoma in (10 P5/ 4 G5) out (G5/FCS 7)
5. Texas in (5 P5/ 2 G5) out (G5/FCS 13)

Top 5 Transfer Classes G5
14. SMU in (12 P5/ 4 G5) out (G5/FCS 7)
15. UCF in (7 P5/ 2 G5) out (G5/FCS 5)
31. Buffalo in (11 P5/ 7 G5) out (G5/FCS 5)
32. USF in (13 P5/ 2 G5) out (G5/FCS 3)
35. Fresno St. in (8 P5/ 2 G5) out (G5/FCS 4)

From many more players are moving down from P5 to G5 than up with the top programs trading stars back and forth. G5 probably makes out better because they can pick up experience at positions of need.

Ohio last year lost players to Texas St, Iowa Central and Alabama St. while picking up players from UCF, Rice and Purdue.

Kent State getting hit hard by the transfer portal with the departure of HC Sean Lewis to Colorado.

Kent is losing their starting QB, RB, WR, and two starting tackles (one a first team All-MAC)...this is life we live.

Also curious to see of those that go from G5 to a P5 school, how much playing time are they actually getting?

I know there are a lot of kids out there at P5 schools who are 3rd, 4th, 5th string or Walkons (Sam Wiglusz) just looking for an opportunity to see the field.

There isn't many G5's that are going to be all conference at a P5. This isn't like basketball where the MAC has guys that could be right away in the rotation at a higher level conference with the uniqueness of the skill sets and physiques.

This year will be no different from all years past, the majority of all players who hit the portal will go DOWN, and not UP.
