The link you have posted for MiamiHawkTalk goes to some old site that's not active. Here's the correct link to the new, active site:

OU is 110th in 3rd down conversion.

Tale of the season there.

A lot to work on this week, but the road back to the MACC is open. Take care of Miami and the rest *should* be smooth sailing.

Everyone else seems to be so optimistic, so I thought I’d try it on for size. See how it fits.

If possible, please come to Athens next Saturday! It means so much to the young men and staff. It really does help. They bust their asses to win for US! critical, bleacher coaches, donorsetc. This is the game I've been waiting for , for many years. And I remember being in 8th grade when the band had an onfield tangle with the Redhawk football team.. bleed Green

Been on campus since 1970 and supported the cats since. Will yell, in the tower, at every good bobcat play.

I’m actually really encouraged with our second half drives against WMU, 56 yards, 75 yards, 66 yards and 78 yards before final game ending drive. Bad news is 2 missed FG and WMU gaining 186 yards in the second half. Of course MOFO has a much better defense, but at least there was good ball movement throughout the second half, both passing and rushing wise. Better than what we’ve seen most of the season. Still hard to believe 460 yards of offense and only 20 points.

I'd dearly love to be there but at the moment I'm recuperating from my second lung surgery since mid-August. My energy level gets low if I do too much physical activity. I do hope the student section is filled from top to bottom and side to side and the kids yell their lungs out, even though I can't. I'll still be here rooting for the team. Muck Fiami!

Looking for a parking pass for this Saturday.

I usually just find first available and pay the attendant. However, I'm a little concerned about parking this weekend with thousands of out-of-town college-aged students visiting Athens for Halloween.

Please pm me if you have a pass you're not using this Saturday.

Pre-pay online.

Non-football fans from out of town will park at the fairgrounds or elsewhere at spots where it doesn't cost them beer money.

I second that Randy! This team and program deserves your support. Go Cats and pack Peden this Saturday. Encourage friends and family to attend this game!

I legitimately feel bad for Gabbert, their team, and a portion of their fan base which doesn't include some of the posters in that thread. I know what it felt like to lose a star quarterback during a special season. The comedic gold is that they actually believe themselves to have more class.

Glad I got that off my chest.

Time to roll those pretentious little...redchickens (*edited for content).

Roll Bobbies!

"Roll Bobbies"!!!!???

As a Miami guy I got blasted for that a week or so ago for using that phrase on this site. Have family on the team being honored Saturday on Senior day and he doesn't make a face when his dad or Uncle D use the phrase.

OU is a great school but you're going down. Marching 110 will be the day's highlights for Bobcat fans. The 110 are absolutely fab I must say.

Our backup QB will be ready to ruin the show so get ready to be disappointed.

Can you say 2019? Look it up in OU F/B history. Big day at Pendon for Redhawk fans.

Saturday's going to be a great day to be a Redchicken/MofO/REDHAWK!!!

2012 was the all time Miami gut punch for me. OHIO was undefeated and ranked and lost in the final seconds in Oxford.

I watched the Fiami/Toledo game in pretty great detail, here are a few musings:

-MofO's defensive front seven is VERY LEGIT. Might be the best we'll meet until the MACC, if we manage to get there.

-The Gabbert injury was pretty tragic. Not Alex Smith bad, more like Joe Theismann bad. Gabbert is a gamer...really hate to see that happen to anyone, not to mention one of the best players in the league.

-Their backup looked A LOT like CJ Harris. Bigger than Gabbert, mobile, but clearly looked less comfortable in the pocket v running play action.

How do we win (IMHO):

-Stop then run, and make their guy have to throw to beat us.

-Fiami will try to do what is driving us CRAZY right now: running the play clock down to zero before the snap and trying to shorten the game. We HAVE TO PLAY FAST...VERY FAST...and try to score ALL OF THE POINTS. Not "enough to win the game" points, but "ALL OF THE POINTS"! If we give their defense a lot of time to get set on D and take a breath, they will tee off on Rourke, and he runs an excellent risk of getting hurt again. We don't have the O Line to hold their pass rush at bay unless we are getting the ball out REALLY FAST and giving MofO no time to get settled at the line to make informed defensive play calls.

-Pass to set up the run, and when we run, we have to try to run OUTSIDE THE TACKLES more than we have, not hope that dive plays up the middle will work as a wear down strategy. I know that Kurtis is restricted due to his knee situation, but we definitely need to find ways to move outside the tackles to give a different look to their defense. Honestly, while watching the UT/MofO game, I was thinking that Navarro might just give us a better chance, considering Rourke's lack of mobility right now, but I trust that the staff can find ways to get O'Sean and Sieh out on the edges, as well as using some reverse action with our receivers.

-And if we get a lead, we can't keep running dive plays and hope to keep the clock running, playing stall ball and trying to wear their defense down. That's precisely what Toledo did on Saturday, getting super conservative with the lead, and they let Fiami sneak back in the game. This is also what Candle did against NIU, and that let NIU sneak back into the game at the end.

-Again, SCORE ALL THE EFFING POINTS!

This game is more winnable than it was, with Fiami starting their backup, but it is also very losable to a backup if we turn the ball over or give their defense an opportunity to tee off inside the tackles.

Well badguys...always fun playing you guys. I remember 19 well. I also remember last year pretty well in Oxford.

Since it's Halloween, seems appropriate that Aveon might have a recurring nightmare...something about the numbers 32 and 38 that keep appearing right before something bad happens!

Anyway, hope you have a good visit, up until 3:30.

Some packages for Navarro anyone? May as well try to counter any new QB surprises they might have for us with some of our own.

First of all, I come in peace. It is time to reignite our rivalry and to rally our supporters. Here is a more polite version of what is in our message board:

Hope you all are ready for the storm that's about to hit because the Miami Redhawks are swooping in with full force! It's going to be a show you won't want to miss, though I can’t promise it’ll be a pleasant sight for your side. Our team has been preparing hard and they're more than ready to bring the victory home.

So gear up, because it's going to be a fiery field when we're done! Get ready to witness the superior skill, finesse, and the indomitable spirit of the Redhawks. May the best team win! (Though we all know who that's going to be 😉)

See you on the field!

PS: YOU GUYS AND THIS 100-YEAR-OLD FREAKING UGLY MESSAGE BOARD SUCK BIG TIME.

LOVE AND HONOR LOSERS

You come in piece alright. I’ll leave out the organic content of it however to maintain the civility you seem to claim you’ve established.
