Really?

These guys have made so much money that they don’t need more. I’d guess he’ll make 1.5 mil or more. As we’ve seen , MAC coaches will leave for the P-4 assistant coach jobs and never look back. The pay disparity is so large now.

Loving this retirement plan.

Leave his current Big 10 Head Coaching job to take the role of a Big 10 Offensive Coordinator. Great work if you can get it! From making too much to be fired at UCLA, to probably making $2.5M+ for none of the responsibilities.

What is Brian Hartline thinking right now?

First Bill OB. Then not Bill OB. Then an hour later, Chip Kelley is in the building. LOL. This is a freak show.

The recent zeitgeist at UCLA is that they could do a lot better than Chip Kelly (despite him not having close to what arch-rival USC has in terms of resources and money), and he was feeling the pressure to leave. Good for him in terms of getting out while the getting was good. If Ohio State manages to beat Michigan this year and, God Forbid, wins the National Championship after spending an absolute insane amount of money on NIL deals, it will guarantee Kelly a very real shot as an Offensive Coordinator in the NFL, which I have been told is his true objective anyway. If not. Perhaps, Mike Vrabel will be the next Ohio State head coach.
