If anyone else played the old games, man this new one lives up to the hype so far. I’m super impressed with the details in Peden. You can actually see Walter Hall, the Convo, and Alden in the background over the academic center.

The last game before this came out before my Freshman year at OU when we beat Penn State. Lots of nostalgia.

You can also hear the bobcat growl as well. I love the graphics of Peden and the surroundings. One things they missed though, Rufus on the motorcycle…

I know I might be a little biased but I feel like the team is severely underrated. I know we don’t have as many outsiders watching but damn, throw us a bone here.

I used to play all the EA Sports games, probably especially this one, up until about the point where they cancelled this one. But that wasn't the main reason that I stopped. I got old and my reflexes aren't as good. I don't own any of the new consoles. If I did I'd have to try this to see what it is like but I'm not going to for as little as I'd probably use it. It sounds like they got a lot of detail into this one.

The details are amazing, and really what every game before it was missing. Gone are the days of generic stadiums. Alternate uniforms. Helmets. In-game specifics and traditions. Impressed.

So I bought NCAA 2025 yesterday and played a 12 games already. Playing the MAC Championship after work against Western Michigan today. Although this is a video game; here is my assessment:

Parkers passing ability is severely limited (1710 yrds passing heading into MAC Championship). I actually passed better with Wither. Parker has more INTs than TD passes on the season. (11 TDs-13 INTs)

Hunt is a manchild 1191 yrds rushing and 16 TDs. Tyus punishes defenders 576 yrds (not a hom-run threat). Brune has game changing speed in this game (90 speed and 94 acceleration). Used Brune on third and 5+ to catch out of backfield. (412 yrds receiving out of back field).

Hendrick, Dennis and Pugh(he can turn a corner very fast) were the starting WRs. Dominic Dowart was 4th string. Rodney Harris III was 5th string. Meanwhile, Owen and Rodarte were buried on depth chart. Had to run a lot of quick routes to get the ball to WRs. Deep passing was not in our favor this year.

Blake Leake is great in pass coverage but essentially gets swallowed up in the run game. Had to use Bowman to blitz off edge to create pressure. Our front 4 just didn't create enough pressure so I used the nickel blitz a lot in the 4-2-5 to stop 3rd downs.

Our kicker has a strong leg (93 strength) but misses kicks in bigger stadiums with accuracy only at 65.

Overall I went 11 and 1. But if i didn't make the changes (and restart 4 times) this team was headed for 8-4. Losses to Syracuse, Toledo, Kentucky, and Eastern Michigan (yes we were losing to EMU) were evident as I restarted the game playing those 4 teams. 😂 Going 11-1 allowed us to play Western Michigan (9-3).

Bradley Weaver, Roman Parodie, Adonis Williams, Ricky Hunt Jr and our punter made All-MAC. Parodie was 2nd team All American with 5 INT (2 returned for 2 TDs).

Defense allowed 22 points per game while offense only scores 25 points per game.

Steegers, Mason Williams and CJ Doggette show GREEN (high) in the transfer portal heading into the MAC championship.

Currently ranked 8th out of 12 in College Playoffs.

The game is extremely fun. Discover credit card seems to be a big sponsor as they are plastered on every big time game. And the opening Bobcats screen has a game ticket from Sep 9 2005. We all know what game that was.

The team twitter posted a clip from the Battle of the Bricks. I'm cringing at their use of "home of the Bobcats of Ohio U" and "Miami Ohio Redhawks".

Miami got new uniforms yesterday. Fans are pissed there are no script "M" jerseys; just a block "M."

They really want to be like us aye?

Is there still Heisman, All-American, Varsity, Junior Varsity modes?

You are correct sir. Had it mixed up. They still look like fake San Fran 49ers 🤣

Checking in on some of the former Bobcats that transferred to P4 schools in the game. Lots of them rated in the mid-70’s. Kurtis Rourke and Will Kacmerek both above 80. Rickey Hunt Jr is actually rated higher than Sieh Bangura by EA.

While I appreciate all Sieh did in green and white, I am hoping for Ricky to have a great year and quickly make us all forget about Bangura.

Love the use of OU's alternate uniforms, including the paw helmet. :) Sook Center prominently featured. You can see the Hocking River in the background.

Well... I did it. Just ordered a PS5 and College Football 25. I'm looking forward to taking the Bobcats to a national championship!

CB25 isn't the only reason- I haven't had a console since the PS3 and there's a number of new games I've been wanting to play for a while now. College Football was just the tipping point to make me go out and get one. And now that I know it's actually pretty good (I definitely wasn't going to put blind trust in EA).

From what I've heard the sim engine is awful and the playoff the first season usually ends up with a bunch of programs that started well outside the top 25. But the gameplay is apparently very good.

Does anyone have a Bobcat national championship? As it seems easy for weak teams to get sim wins, apparently it sounds harder than it used to be to play games and beat good teams with weak teams.

I'm in year 4 with 4 National titles. (Played all top 5 teams out of conference). My overall is 87 now. Only signed one 5-star so far (Safety from Muskegon, MI). 5 stars are hard to please. And yes, I'm playing on Heisman mode (hardest level).

Love that you have to manage your GPA before week 8 exams as well as your NIL time with businesses. A player can lose focus easily so I always spend 2 out of the 6 energy on books 📚 per week.

Sounds like you have it figured out. That's a new thing with the playoff. It used to be really unlikely that the game would let you play for the title in year one. BCS bowl, yes, and year two on a 25 game winning streak, yes, but almost never in year one.
