Imagine goal setting by the staff. Practically every game has important implications, even St. Francis for a win with the non-conference the Cats are playing.

Most Memorable Bobcat Events Attended
2010 97-83 win over Georgetown in NCAA 1st round
2012 45-13 victory over ULM in the Independence Bowl
2015 34-3 drubbing of Miami @ Peden front of 25,086

St Francis is 2027 I think, they almost certainly will drop that game, so we can take that win off the table,

That is right its Gardner-Webb this year. But still a must win considering the non-conference schedule.

Most pumped... probably WVU in Peden. That should be nuts. Very stoked.

But also winning 7-straight bowl games.

What a crazy streak, and in this era everyone is looking for an angle, since we don't have unlimited funds - THAT is our angle. Come win some jewelry. Be a part of a winner. We should be the top recruit destination in the MAC. (Next to playing for Eddie George that is - that would be cool)

This is so crazy. All that really matters in that game is how many players get hurt. Think MAC

Absolutely not. With the way college football is now, this is OUr Super Bowl. To beat the Bucks at the Shoe would be massive and critics would go crazy about us not having the money they have. Sure we would lose a lot of players to the portal next year, but we would get an influx of great transfers as well. Call me crazy but beating them is more important than any MAC game. They schedule every MAC team, even non-Ohio schools, more than playing us. I do admit, the task got taller with the most recent portal additions.

Miracles do happen, but with the stacked deck now favoring the haves so much it’s not likely. You are right about what would happen with a victory, and it would be our highlight for the rest of our history if we beat them, but it’s not likely to happen. I understand that as a player, you want to believe that you could possibly win every time you step on the field. That’s what players should do - they’re competitors. Like I said in so many words in another thread, our defense is getting torn apart player by player and that will make it very unlikely that we can compete for a whole game.

Please sit far away from me at the game.

I will, it will be 1250 miles away from you. I truly hope you enjoy the game and Ohio wins.

Think of how it helps Ohio's NIL valuations. The schedule will draw TV eyeballs which will drive NIL value for the players. That in of itself makes it more valuable to schedule up rather than down.

Further with a schedule Ohio is playing this year go undefeated without a doubt you'll end up in the playoff and earn a shot at a national championship. Even possible with a loss to Ohio State. Boise State lost in the regular season to Oregon and because it was Oregon was in the playoff anyways as a 1 loss team.

Highly doubt we get a playoff if we go undefeated. The MAC RPI is severely low. A win against Rutgers and WV would not help our cause in RPI. They are low-tier teams in their respective conferences.

If we beat OSU, yes it would be earth shattering program changing and nothing else would compare. That is different from saying the game itself is of super importance. It's not, because a loss isn't a big deal. Even coming off our dream season, we will be 35+ point underdogs. At our non-P5 level, winning the conference should always be the primary goal and focus.

The Mountain West was rated lower than the MAC last season and Boise State did it while losing to Oregon. Of course Ohio would be in the playoff if it was undefeated with OSU on the schedule.
