ESPN is reporting that Kent coach Kenni Burns has been placed on administrative leave. Anyone hear any details?

No idea. This article is, likewise, very vague:

Well, if they don't drop to D3, or something, is this their answer:

Well, I know one of their graduates who'd make a lot bigger splash if he took it on as a retirement job! ;-)

Burns was a heavy (but not winning) gambler, I've heard. Bills came due.

All alleged, mind you.

It's hard to get worse than 1-11 but he managed in year two. I wondered why they didn't fire him after his 1-23 record at Kent. Guess they were just waiting for cause so they wouldn't have to buy out his contract.

Wouldn't be surprised if Saban took the job at the end of the year. He'll have a couple of seasons away from the game at that point and might be wanting to get back in, especially at his alma mater.

Wasn't 'cause Mack didn't want to. Of course, Mack didn't want to hire him in the first place. Sometimes presidents need to realize that ADs occasionally know more about athletics than they do.
