Any news on recruits for next year? Haven't, at all, given up on this year. Just wanting to think ahead.

Lizzie Stephens.. 6'0 OH from Frisco Texas, announced her signing today on Twitter (@lizziestephens7).

According to MaxPreps.com, Stephens had 529 Kills (1,260 for career) in 125 sets played this year. She hit .295 (.269 for career), had 505 Digs (1,309 for career) and 73 Aces (186 for career).

Looks like a six rotation player in high school, seems like this team went pretty far in the state tourney. Wonder how she'll fit in with Kosiorek, Salis, Remmers (when healthy), Miller, and Olman. Talk about depth, the 'Cats will be loaded on the outside next year!

Meredith Howe.. Libero from Forest Hills Northern HS in Grand Rapids, MI. Couldn't find many stats, but her Hudl videos are available. Her play speaks for itself. Great "get" for Ohio, especially since Meredith Ashy (Ironic, eh?) is graduating this year. It'll be fun seeing her, Erica, Salis and Coleman all together.

Seems like Ohio did find a setter for next year, Katelyn Burke, a 5'10 Setter out of Oswego High School (Oswego, Ill.). She plays for Sports Performance Volleyball Club, same club Eric Walker did. I take it she'll start right away since Ohio is losing Abby? I did notice Olman is a setter, could Ohio possibly run a 6-2?

Finally is Sara Janusszewski, a 6'2 OH/MB (Not sure) from Oak Creek High School in Oak Creek, Wis. Couldn't find much on her, but she'll have big shoes to fill with the graduations of Karin and Shelby if in the middle. We've seen a trend of Ohio redshirting some of these middles (Nelson, Burchesky) so could we see the same with her?

That's all I've uncovered, thanks to Google and visiting the girls' social media profiles. Any other info please add. Stephens, Howe, and Burke seem ready to play right away. Not sure about Sara, I wasn't able to find footage.

wow...thanks for the info!

I can add that Lizzie was all-state first team as a junior in Class 5A, that's the group of schools with the second largest student population. Her team finished 39-6 this year, I believe, and lost in the regional tournament. She sounds like a great get!
