Rich Kern is reporting:

Jamie Kosiorek 6'0" Outside Hitter from Kenston High School and Academy Volleyball of Cleveland. Choose Ohio over Maryland, Oregon, and Notre Dame.

Hmmmm

I still have a "Kenston XC" shirt I got at Cross Country camp in Hiram after my freshman year in HS. Interesting collection with Steele, Bay, Olmstead, Gueaga and others from that section of the country

Glad to see they still have a pretty good athletic presence

As a former division rival: Kenston Sucks. Farmboy wannabes.

6'4"? That'll work. Wonder how high she can jump.

At 6'4", given reach, you don't have to be able to jump all that high to be very effective...

Does anyone ever wonder why Volleyball is the only sport where we post pictures of our recruits?

There is clearly an immediate need in off side hitter and middle blocker, her positions. Welcome aboard Shelby!

This is a good and necessary addition. Our collection of liberos, DS's, and setters may be the absolute best we've seen in a long time. I think if our front line establishes some solid depth, we will be a dominant team. Lamberti, Bull, and Bilger (provided she is recovered from the ACL injury) are great MAC players, but IMO, we need three of Walker, Kosiorek, Nelson, Lake, and Burkle to be solid.
