Ryan Rollins played 29 min off the bench in Milwaukee's opener, with 9 pts, 4 reb, 3 assists

RayJ Dennis a DNP for Pacers in their opener.

Daeqwon Plowden a DNP for Kings in opener.

Yanic Niederhauser played 4 min. and scored 4 pts for Clippers.

Others??

Finally, look for the NBA Rookie of the Year not to be a former MAC player, but the son of one of the MAC's all-time greats, Miami's Ron Harper. Dylan Harper, of San Antonio, will make 3 straight Spurs to be named rookie of the year (you read it here first). Harper outscored top pick Cooper Flagg 15-10 in 9 fewer minutes in both teams' opener.

There’s some chatter on Twitter that Rollins might start. Giannis likes him a lot and KPJ is dealing with an injury.

Is Freeman still on the Pacers roster or is he starting the year in the G?

Seems like Preston is officially out of the league. Waived by the Clippers, and haven't seen a new 2-way signed anywhere.

Rollins has started the last few games. With Giannis sitting out, Rollins led all players with 32 pts and 8 assists in Bucks' win over Warriors last night. In 5 games, he's averaging 18.6 pts and 5 assists

Daequan Plowden of Bowling Green fame got a start for the Kings last night against the Cavs. 16/6/4 in a close loss to Cleveland.

Good find.

Coming off the Kings' bench last night, Plowden was perfect (4-4) from 2, perfect (3-3) from 3, and perfect from the line (2-2) for 17 pts to go with 4 reb. In 12 games, he's averaging around 8 pts.

You had to bring that old post up? I thought it was all but forgotten.

While Harper was not the top rook during the regular season (finished 4th in the voting behind Flagg, Knueppel and Edgecombe), I'll suggest he's been the most outstanding rookie in the post-season.

With the NBA playoff finals coming to an end, I thought it was an appropriate time for one last bump for this thread.

I'll maintain that Ron Harper is arguably the best player to visit the Convo over the last 40 years - followed by an impressive NBA career (5 title rings) that was impeded by knee troubles. His son is arguably the best player on a young Spurs team not nicknamed Wemby.

No argument there, but the best player ever to play on the hardwood in Athens was without a doubt, Nate the Great Thurmond.

Well to be nit-picky I believe Harper's last game in the Convo, a 1-point fiami victory on the back of his 38-19-12 stat stuffing, was over 40 years ago (2/19/86). Three weeks later I was in attendance in Rockford when Ball's Dan Palombizio took down Ron's redskins in the tourney final. Bobcats were the 2 seed but couldn't beat Balls in Nee's final season at the helm.
