That link doesn't seem to work so... https://youtu.be/xxhju4UKm3Y?si=mU4OzzIOHGx36iZ0

A few things. I feel better after rewatching the video and noticing the fine print of the word "going". He looks as athletic as always, if not more. He also appears to be looking for a bit of organized play which, before NIL would have been a no-no, but now? Lastly, is he training in Australia or the US? Visas seem a bit more iffy lately.

Go Bobcats!

This is the guy I am most intrigued about on the roster going into the season. We need Kuany to contribute. We can't have guys redshirt and not contribute the next season (see Ben Nicol).

+1. He's not a big, he's a stretch forward and comparable to Ali Ali ceiling wise. I'm hoping if he's agile enough on defense, he can provide enough flexibility to slide in at the 3 at times. I know there's speculation about Hadaway playing the 3 alongside Breath and Simmons.

3-4-5 rotation combo of Breath, Simmons, Hadaway, and Kuany would go a long way.

You need to temper your expectations.

It won’t take much to do more than Nicol. He finds him intriguing , not sure that he expects much from him.

I'd add that we're starting to see a trend of guys entering the portal if not contributing by year 2. So, I do think it's important for Kuany to log meaningful minutes this year.

If Kuany doesn't get in the rotation, it doesn't necessarily mean there's no future for him here. With Nicol it was that he wasn't usable even when injuries reduced our rotation only eight or so healthy scholarship bodies.

I very much hope I'm proven wrong but that video is giving me Ellis Dozier flashbacks. The guy looks the part but is anything he's doing in workouts going to translate to a game?

Also, anyone else think his brother should probably not be training him on pick and roll ball handling? This guy needs to be ready to play off the catch. Catch and shoot, catch and drive, attacking or passing out of the pick and roll as the roll man or driving off of fake dribble hand-offs. I highly doubt we're going to see many Kuany/Simmons pick and rolls. I can see him pushing in transition off a rebound, but I wouldn't think we're going to see him dribbling at the top of the key for 6 seconds waiting for a screener to get there.

The dude is working hard. Nice to see. Stretch 4 is a need. He's working to fill it. As he matures maybe he'll add some inside game too. Keep it up dude.

Starting to look like there's going to be serious competition to get on the court at every position. Nice.

Can somebody hit a pull up jumper for me?.....

We hear this every year, although maybe not as early as June. And every year we see the rotation shrink to 7, maybe 8, players. With 2 or 3 scholarship players rarely getting off the bench.

True as well.

Cautiously optimistic.

I'm seeing on the socials that Hadaway is putting in a lot of work this summer with Coach Thornton. I think a few guys on this roster could make a sizable leap in production this year. Hadaway has been good, but I could see him making a jump this coming season. Elliot is another obvious one, to me.

Pass the green Kool-Aid because I'm chugging fist fulls.. I think Hadaway could have a 1st team type season.

I'm pretty please with the off-season thus far, but have a lot of questions about our shooting and spacing.

I think we addressed last season's biggest weaknesses, which is great, and I expect we're going to be a much more physical team this coming season.

But Pavs outside shot has to come back and Hadaway has to be able to keep defenses honest stretching the floor.

Seems we are often pleased more with the off-season than the actual season when they actually suit up and play, like, real opposition. [I'm not excluding myself from that statement, just making a very general observation.]

Lets not forget our new pieces, it won't be all on Hadaway. Or JP.

MAOR KEY: Javan Simmons hit 33% from 3 last season to go along with 12 points and 7 boards at Toledo. I'm not putting him in any 3 point contests, but he *can step out. (Sheldon shot 28%, Hadaway shot 33%)

Breath: More of your true center with 7/7 last season at UNCG.

Portal Guards:

Dior Connors shot 40% from 3 last season for App State.

Carter Reese - Will be interesting to see where he fits in. 6'3" guard. Led Ohio Northern in scoring last season with 14.5 points. Shot 38% from 3.

Throw in Burris. Development of Elliot, Ayden.

Boals has never really been a fan of true freshman, but we got some good ones coming in as well.

Carter Reese seems like a nice guy but won't be a factor. Not even.

Will come in handy as a practice player.

If he turns into a key rotation player, give me the "what for" after the season.

Banking on a bounce back from Sheldon and the addition of Connors for spacing. I think Pavs will shoot well enough to stretch the floor. Bonus if Burris can contribute and Hadaway/Kuany are knocking down 3's at a solid rate from the stretch position.

Yep, as I said, I put myself in the same camp as BLSS on this one. Problem is that I've been proven a fool more than I'd like to remember. As boy growing up I got a lot of practice, convincing myself each off season that this was the year the Cubs would win the pennant. So, in that spirit, I think the Elite 8 are in our future in 2025-26 as all these new faces blend in perfectly with our returning players and we roar through the MAC, leaving Kent, Akron and UMass in our dust as we gain a top 25 ranking . . .

So you once sprouted the Bobby Huggins Ohio freshman look? The more I learn about you, the more amazed I am!
