Kaminski hit a jumper to put Ohio back on top, but Wilder answered with one of his own. A pair of Jordan Dartis free throws moved the Bobcats back on top before Moore tied the game with a basket inside. Then after a miss by Simmons, Wilder drew a foul and connected on the second foul shot.

Carter missed, and Wilder hit two more foul shots to push the Western Michigan lead to 88-85 with 16 seconds left. Then Carter missed the 3-pointer, and Haymond put away the game with two more free throws with five seconds to go.
